The bar chart illustrates the percentages/ratio of inhabitants in a certain city who exercise in four different ways. Specifically, exercising alone accounts for
54.3%, which is the highest percentage among the ways. Next come exercising with friends and with family members, accounting for 47.7% and 23.9% respectively. Exercising with a group has the lowest proportion with 15.8%. There are two fundamental factors involved in
this phenomenon. First, with the development of the domestic economy, (how does this affect things) self-awareness has increased. Most people prefer to care about their time and
feelings than sacrifice themselves to follow others. Thus exercising alone, which means they can do what they like, is the most popular approach, whereas exercising in a group which
needs to consider other people’s schedules is chosen by fewer
citizens. Second, there is intense pressure because of the fierce competition in modern society. Exercise with others who you are familiar with, such as your
friends and family, can mitigate your anxiety. To my understanding, no matter what
methods you choose, it is beneficial for people. However, exercising with others can help you keep this habit better. With support from others, it is much easier to take the first step.
