Hi friends, I have a question about the usage of "reimburse". Which one is correct? "reimburse somebody for some cost" or "reimburse some money"(without "for"). Please refer to the following sentences: 1.The company will reimburse you for the travel expenses. 2.Travel protection will reimburse the cost of your trip, if, for some reason, you have to cancel at the last minute. Thank you in advance!

1.The company will reimburse you for your travel expenses. 2.Travel insurance will reimburse the cost of your trip, if, for some reason, you have to cancel at the last minute.

Both are actually perfectly adequate in that structure. You could have also said "will reimburse you for the cost of your trip".
