English is important, but nowadays English is a need. There are hundreds of millions of people who can communicate in English. I think that knowing only English is not enough. Выучить язык невозможно, даже свой родной. My point is, it doesn't matter how good you are at some language, you'll never be able to master it wholly. My fluent English is doing me little good here in China... Besides providing an income... When it comes to living, a little more knowledge of the Chinese languages would go a long way.
