"Thank you for giving me the chance, I'll try my best!" is the correct one. In order to be able to use a verb as a noun you need to convert it into a proper form. It might be "to give" or "giving" (#) However for some words there are also the noun forms of them which are the same as their verbal forms. Example : Talk (verb) , Talk (noun). For these words you do not need to convert them, rather use their noun worms Wrong: I like raining Correct: I like the rain. You also shouldn't use "for" and "to" at the same time as in "I have done it for to give you a chance" (#)Tell either, " I have done it for giving you a chance" or "I have done it to give you a chance" "Thank you for picking me up yesterday, or I might've in trouble." is the correct one. You can also rephrase it like "Thank you that you picked me up yesterday, or I might've in trouble." if you want. But the first one seems to be better.

Hi there, This is correct: Thank you for giving me the chance, I'll try my best! and Thank you for picking me up yesterday, or I migh've in trouble. should be: Thank you for picking me up yesterday, or I might've been in trouble. but something like this might be better: Thank you for picking me up yesterday, otherwise I might've been in trouble.
