what does " XLII, No. 5 (August 2, 1961), 9-10"mean?
Opinions of the Attorneys General, XLII, No. 5 (August 2, 1961), 9-10. Most of Kennedy's scholarly research on this matter was the work of Nick Katzenbach.
Volume 42, number 5 (published August 2, 1961)
XLII is a Roman numeral. You can google it to learn how they work.
X means 10, L means 50, C means 100, I means 1.
LX means 60 (50 + 10) but XL means 40 (50 - 10)
Roman numerals are kind of fun, but when I was little I thought they were hard.
