When do you use かかる and when do you use とる? What is the difference between kakaru and toru? Don't both words mean "to take?" If so which one is used when or for what?

Hi, good question! TAKE has many translations in Japanese, not only two. If you write some example sentences, we can write the translation. Here are some examples: かかる is used for "it takes (time)", and とる is used for various situations like "to take a picture", "to have/ take a meal(breakfast, lunch, dinner)", "to take/chose (something), etc. (*please remember that we have other ways to say for these sentences,) I hope this helps you.
