What does "Ano ang" mean ? What does "Ano ang" mean in the following sentence? Ano ang ipinanghahakot mo ng mga muwebles? I guess "ipinanghahakot mo ng mga muwebles ang ano" is the normal order of sentence. Why is "ang" placed after "ano"? Is "Ang ano ipinanghahakot mo ng mga muwebles?" impossible?

Ano ang ipinanghahakot - what do you use for collecting/loading

What is a "normal" order?

Unless by saying "ano" refers to something, your second sentence didn't make any sense to me.

The third sentence is wrong. You're asking a question so the interrogative pronouns are always at the beginning.

The "Ano" here means the interrogative "What". Ano ang ipinanghahakot mo ng mga muwebles? = What are you using to collect/load the furnitures? Vocabulary break down ano = what ang = used to refer to the noun that is doing something to the object ipinanghahakot = using to collect/load (or "thing to use to collect/load) mo = you ng = used to connect the verb to its object mga = word to pluralize a noun (placed before the noun) muwebles = furniture

I'm not the best at explaining Filipino grammar points like this one so I'll give examples instead

Sino ang pumunta? = Who went?

Ano ang kinuha mo? = what did you get?

Saan ang opisina mo? = where is your office

Kailan ang pagdiriwang? = when is the celebration/party
