"Et voilà!" Salut, I've got to learn this phrase. I wonder if this is used exactly as "There you go!" in English? Please give a few typical examples. Merci beaucoup~

Guillaume is right. Can also mean "that's it!", like in "Et voila' pour aujourd'hui!" (That's it for today).

In English (where there are quite a few french words used), "Voila" is used as an exclamatory. Ex) I might do a lengthy maths proof, and at the end, after the final line, with a bit of a flourish, say "and ... voila" meaning "so there!" or "there it is, see ?" A.
