Last night I watched Francis Coppola's "Apocalypse Now", one of the most famous and best films ever made. The plot is about Cpt. Willard (Martin Sheen) and his search through the tropical rainforest of southeast asia for Cel. Kurtz (Marlon Brandon). A man who went crazy and quit the army after seeing the horrors of the Vietnam War, establishing himself in the middle of the jungle with his own private milicia. In the first minutes of movie, Martin Sheen character looks very cliche to me, with quotes that sound I've heard it like twenty times in the past and appearing to be just one more movie about the Vietnam War. But, after the first hour, it starts to get in it's real shape, a real epic movie with epic scenes showing not only the horrors seen in Vietnam, but the tiredness, the stress and the neglect suffered by the US troops. Anyway, a great movie, with great action scenes and a strong message. Extremely recommended by me. P.s. If there are some grammar mistakes, could anyone correct me? I appreciate it...
