I'm a curious traveler and a passionate cultural, language, and science explorer. I’ve backpacked through Mexico, Europe, and Saudi Arabia, where I spent a year studying in KAUST, and now I’m pursuing my Master’s degree at CICESE-UNAM. 🌎
The ocean is in my heart, the jungle is my home, and I seek new adventures daily. Writing stories is my hobby, music is my voice, and maybe one day I’ll become an origami dragon to visit the moon and talk with the sun. 🌙✨

I've taught Spanish to foreigners in language exchanges (online and in person) and helped travelers discover the beauty of the places I call home. I also have experience in italki classes before pursuing my studies abroad. Now I’m back, excited to share my native language with you.
Teaching isn’t just about vocabulary or grammar—it’s about respect, exploring cultures, and creating a space for you to learn confidently and grow.
🚀 My focus now: I’m extending my winter schedule for intensive, fast-track classes and offering limited spots for regular students looking for consistent progress after the season.

Maria is a wonderful teacher to practice your conversation skills! She is very patient, kind, and helpful. I recently started to practice speaking Spanish and even though I struggled to say some words, I enjoyed every minute of our conversation. I learned a lot about Mexico, the Yucatec Maya language, and our general interests and hobbies. Thank you so much!

Maria is patient and very focused on letting you speak! There is no guard rails on this lesson though, so I suggest it for someone who really *only* wants practice. I enjoyed :)

I just had a fantastic Spanish lesson with María! She was incredibly patient and kind, making me feel comfortable even when I struggled with certain words. Her teaching style is encouraging and engaging, and she explained everything clearly. I truly appreciate her support and look forward to more lessons with her.
