Hi! My name is Matilda and I was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. Currently living in Blue Mountains, Australia. I have studied Psychology courses at Lund University hence I like to discuss psychological questions and and other subjects regarding emotions and the mind. I found my interest for teaching while I was a substitute teacher in Lund. I get energy from travelling, connecting with humans, I am into community events and hold clothes swaps in my house regularly.
I feel honoured to help people learning my native tongue. I want to be there with you while you grow and learn Swedish in a fun and interactive way.

I place high value on creating a safe space for students to explore making mistakes and play with the Swedish language. Learning a language is deeply personal and I hope to create that space for you. Neuro spicy people is very welcome!!
It's important for me to get to know you and build a connection while we go deeper into the Swedish language. I think that the harder parts of learning a language becomes a lot easier if you have a supporting tutor that will push you through if you have doubts. I love documentaries and hope to share some interesting topics for us to explore together.

I aim to make my lessons filled with humour, interaction and curiosity. As lesson material I create interactive tasks, quizzes and word games and send through study material that we can practice with. I also send documentaries and podcasts for my students, ask for recommendations and I would be happy to share. If you want homework, I will also give suitable tasks for you to do outside of lessons.
I am open, flexible and welcome to any inputs. Let me know what difficulties that you face in the language and let me know what I can do to assist you. I am here as a guide and inspiration into your Swedish language journey.

Det är alltid roligt och intressant att prata med Matilda. Hon rekommenderar underbara filmer, artiklar och videor som jag kan titta på. Jag har lärt mig mycket, inte bara om det svenska språket utan också om den svenska kulturen.

Matilda är ett nöje att arbeta med. Jag ser fram emot våra diskussioner varje vecka. Diskussionerna är en bra blandning av struktur och avslappnad diskussion. Det viktigaste är att jag alltid avslutar lektionen bättre än jag började.
