Ruri T

Today I had a longer class than usual with Ruri先生! It was so much fun that we were laughing throughout the whole lesson. I have been immersing as much as possible in Japanese content and Ruri could tell by my improvements in speaking and overall comprehension of the language, which gave me even more motivation to continue to do so. In this lesson, we did some speaking practice and then focused on vocabulary, grammar and listening exercises tailored to the JLPT N3. As usual, Ruri made sure I understood why each answer was correct and why the other options were not. I cannot wait until next class, I enjoy so much learning with her!! いつも通りるり先生本当にありがとうございました。今日のレッスンではすごく楽しかったです！！素敵な週末をお過ごしください 🩵

I'm really grateful that Ruri 先生 always makes an effort to expand on the material we're covering. Last week, we learned about potential verbs and today she followed up by teaching me some more nuance around the two verbs specifically, 聞こえる and 見える. Those are two really common and useful verbs I think to have a better understanding of and I don't think that I saw anything in the textbook that covers the nuance between those and 聞く and 見る respectively. The material the we used to cover the differences revealed the nuance to me and I'm really happy to have learned it so t hat I can use them more appropriately.

Ruri 先生、いつもありがとうございます！Today, we started working on practicing speaking more at the beginning of class. One piece of advice that Ruri 先生 gave me was to start thinking more in Japanese and I think that that is such great advice. Instead of thinking in my head, what I want to say in English and then translating it in my head first and then again when I speak it, thinking in Japanese helps me focus on what I can say and how to say it. Today, I noticed a real difference in my confidence speaking using that mindset.

Wonderful trial lesson to get to know each other and determine what type of lessons/lesson plan to choose. るりせんせい was very welcoming and easy to talk to and, after this trial, I'm looking look forward to many more lessons!

As usual, I had an amazing class today with Ruri先生! She encouraged me throughout the whole lesson which motivated me sooo much. We practiced mock exercises for the JLPT N3 for vocab, reading and listening! She made sure to explain every details and words I didn't know so I could understand the why of everything ⭐️ This week I have been trying to really immerse myself in the language and I think it gave me a boost of confidence with my Japanese! Seeing Ruri also excited with my progress made me so happy 🤗

Today, Ruri 先生 and I wrapped up going over Genki I. I'm really grateful to have her as my teacher in my journey to learn Japanese. I feel like without her, it would have been hard to stay motivated and keep learning. I think that having her as my guide helped me through parts that might have been hard on my own as well as give me information that the book doesn't have. After class, we talked about what the plan going forward will be to help me continue improving in the ways that I want. I really appreciate that she cares about the things that I want to learn; I'm glad that she is open to hearing about things I'm interested in learning in Japanese. I trust her judgement and am excited to continue learning with her.
