Nozomi Sensei is absolutely the best Japanese teacher you could find on Italki or anywhere on this planet! I have been studying Japanese with Nozomi Sensei since 2022. I passed my JLPT N5 certificate in December 2023. Her classes helped me to build strong foundations. What I love most about learning Japanese from Nozomi Sensei is that she is so fun and professional. A great class format is one thing, but learning Japanese from a respectable teacher is also equally important because Nozomi Sensei knows how to motivate her students. I have met several different Japanese teachers from one of the most expensive professionals to casual tutors. I hope my review saves your time searching for the right teacher. I can guarantee you that Nozomi Sensei is the best teacher on Italki. I want her to stay on Italki for a long time so I don’t lose such an amazing teacher!!

I've enjoyed the lessons I've taken with Nozomi. She has been so patient and helpful during the lessons especially when learning new material. Although my pronunciation and speaking ability still needs a lot of practice I feel encouraged to continue trying during our lessons.

Nozomiさん is an amazing teacher! Conversations with her are always fun and engaging, which makes lessons fly by in an instant. I progressed from having no conversational experience, to being confident to speak in just a few lessons. She always encourages to speak more, and never makes you feel bad about trying more complex grammatical constructions, even if you make a lot of mistakes. Each lesson, I feel like I have learnt to utilize some grammar points better, some vocabulary, and often something new about Japanese culture / life in Japan. I can't recommend her enough and am looking forward to the next lessons!

Today we continued practicing the past tense short forms, reviewed previous kanji and learned new kanji. I appreciate how Nozomi 先生 adds information about Japanese culture during the lessons. It's interesting and helps me remember what I've learned.

Always happy to talk to Nozomi! I had a great time with her. Her class is well prepared and organized. I am satisfied with the class material as well. She is very nice to talk to. I would like to go on learning Japanese with her until I can take her free talking classes. Highly recommend her! 😆🙌
