Teacher Georgette

She did not “baby” me or insult my intelligence with the language even though I’m a beginner and was patient enough to wait until I got the answer. One more step towards fluency, salamat!

Sharing a common interest whether it be in the past or in the present always is an enjoyable conversation topic to engage in a new language. Georgette does a fantasic job initiating dialogue that her students can relate to which provides an abundance of opportunities to ask questions and give their own insights using what they have learned.

In this lesson, I am learning and practicing to construct simple statements and interrogative sentences. It is a big goal of mine and I feel like I am learning from each and every one of my mistakes today. 😆Georgette is so patience with me and always gives me feedback. I can really see she has a passion for teaching and connecting with her students. I am lucky to have such a wonderful and dedicated teacher here on italki! 😊

An easy going lesson with Georgette as we discussed our recent current events, journal writings, and started a new lesson. It is always a pleasure being able to share openly and have an enjoyable discussion in Tagalog using what I know despite stumbling here and there.
