Hola! My name is Paula and I'm a Catalan and Spanish teacher from Barcelona. Welcome to my profile!
As a Linguist I have a passion for language learning and teaching. Right now, I'm learning German and French. One of my goals is to make Catalan available to people around the world, that's why I teach it on Italki!Показать перевод

✨ Degree in Linguistics and minor in Catalan and Spanish teaching and certified Spanish teacher for foreigners (ELE).
✨ +7 years of experience teaching students from around the world as a Catalan & Spanish teacher: private, groups, in person, online, kids and adult lessons.
✨ All levels (A1-C2), conversation, preparation for official DELE exams & Catalan for Business.

From A1.1 to C2, my lessons are very conversation oriented: we dedicate the first few minutes to review a grammar topic and some vocabulary, the rest of the lesson we put it to practice with conversation and interactive activities + I give you feedback constantly 😉
🗣️ Conversation: you can choose a topic or not, it doesn't matter, the key here is practice, practice and practice some more! You will have feedback on your pronunciation, and you will improve your fluency. Also, you'll expand your vocabulary and learn specific conversation structures. Of course, we focus on gaining confidence when you speak Catalan.

My first 45-minute session with Paula was focused and efficient. We dived straight into conversational Catalan, an approach that complemented my prior knowledge of the language. Paula was attentive, making note of errors and providing corrections in a manner that was informative and not disruptive.
Her punctuality and preparedness stood out, making the session run smoothly. Her approachable nature created a relaxed environment conducive to learning and discussion. Overall, this was a valuable experience and I'm looking forward to future sessions with Paula.
