Originally from Slovenia, I'm a lawyer by profession but teaching and learning languages, among other things, is my true passion.
As a speaker of Slovenian, Spanish, and English, I understand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, I offer personalized lessons tailored to your needs and learning style.

As a patient and encouraging teacher, I prioritize my students' needs and interests. During our first meeting, we discuss your current language skills and expectations to create personalized lessons that incorporate conversation, grammar, and vocabulary.
As a professional, I value your time and always arrive on schedule with materials ready. I may also assign homework or ask you to review material before class to maximize our time together.

Karin is a great teacher, so brilliant patient and always a joy to work with… an inspiration no doubt to anyone trying to learn Slovenian. Hopefully, I will have more time in 2025 to make the most of such a great mentor.

Karin is an exceptional conversationalist. She uses engaging prompts to get students talking, then actively listens to move discussion forward. She's 100% engaged during the lesson, shares great vocab/grammar notes, and builds off of previous conversations to keep continuity of learning. Karin is among the best "Conversation class" instructors I've ever worked with.
