Jihun Kim(Javi)

I’ve been having so much fun with Jihun! He is an excellent conversationalist. During class, he asks thought-provoking questions that encourage elaboration and even gives his own opinions, that not only test your speaking, but your comprehension as well. He has a friendly personality that makes me feel comfortable, even when I’m frantically looking for the right words to say. He’s very patient and gives me thoughtful feedback that show me how a native would convey the same idea. Aside from his conversation skills, he explains grammar well. I usually write out sentences using concepts that I’ve discovered that week, and in class, he corrects them, giving helpful critiques to make them more natural. When I don’t understand anything, I always feel like he explains grammar in easy-to-comprehend ways. I’ve only had a few classes with him, but I’m enjoying them and look forward to continue studying with his guidance. I highly recommend working with him.

I had the pleasure of attending one more exceptional Korean class and every single class I've been impressed by Javi’s teaching style and expertise. His passion for the Korean language and his dedication to ensuring I felt engaged and empowered were clear (Also he is a funnier guy). The lessons have been brilliantly structured, making even complex grammar points easy to grasp, and there was a perfect balance between theory and practice. I tried learning Korean from few other tutors and even though I learned sentences and words I didn't quite understand what I'm talking about or how to make a sentence that is not just memorised. That often made me feel overwhelmed. With Jihun Kim I finnaly understood how to make a sentence in a just a few lessons. Now all memorised things make so much more sense. Jihun will teach you Korean in proper order and it will be easy to understand. I'm very glad I found him and will for sure stick with him till I'm fluent. Many thanks to him :)

As someone nervous about speaking Korean, I can’t thank 지훈 enough for his patience and support during our first 10 lessons. I was terrified of mistakes and lacked confidence, but 지훈 has a way of making you feel at ease right from the start. In these lessons, I’ve learned about 200 new words and covered around 25 grammar forms. 지훈 never rushes and repeats concepts as many times as needed, using clear examples and encouraging practice until you’re comfortable. His question-answer method gently pushed me to speak more, and his calm, supportive attitude made it easier to try without fear of judgment. He creates a stress-free learning environment and provides detailed transcripts, which are invaluable for practice. Mr.Kim is a very good teacher. I studied Korean 15 years ago and from time to time learned from different teachers. Kim is the only teacher to get me talking hhhhhhhhh 弱智都学得会，大家不要怕，上车上车，冲啊！

Jihun is very outgoing and kind, I felt very at ease chatting with him in slowmo Korean. He also talks slowly and clearly making it easy for beginners to understand. He’s gentle when correcting and very patient. In this trial lesson I got a deeper understanding about the markers and learned a few new words. The lesson flew by in no time
