Shalom! My name is Yotam Gubbay, and I teach Hebrew on Italki.
I was actually born in Australia to a Hebrew-speaking family, but I grew up in Canada, where I still live today. I am currently a student studying Global Affairs.
I love languages and the many connections between them and in addition to Hebrew and English, I also speak French and Arabic.Показать перевод

I really believe in the concept of comprehensible input, which is the idea that we gain skills in languages when we hear or see something and understand it. I want to make Hebrew lessons fun and engaging and interesting and not just on the linguistic level. I am interested in the science behind language acquisition and I am happy to make my lessons accessible to every level and make the Hebrew language a bridge into a world of content that interests the student and also suits them and what they want to do with the language. We can use stories, music, current affairs or even just day-to-day conversation as part of the process!Мой учебный материал

I can only say positive things about Yotam. He’s incredibly helpful with any issues you might have and makes learning Hebrew a fun experience.
