Helen Tian

This is my third lesson and the shadowing and listening we did was so helpful, i think i am going to built it into my self-study too. It's also great to get conversation practice where I can get lots of repetition of the important phrases and sentence-order i need to learn too, so it really starts to stick! I will study hard before my next lesson, 加油！

I love that Helen always encourages me to speak more Chinese. During class we follow a textbook but we also have conversations about different topics. She also incorporates new vocabulary. I enjoy her classes a lot and I always learn something new in each class. For those of you that also study writing, Helen knows a lot about characters and how they are formed and their meaning.

I had a great first lesson! I felt very comfortable speaking with her and discussing my goals. We were able to determine my current level and set a study plan for future lessons. I'm looking forward to it. 谢谢老师 😊

We've been studying together for four years, twice per week, every week from HSK 0 to the threshold of HSK 5. Helen is an amazing teacher.
