Guyomar

I've trialed a few Spanish teachers and the one I keep going back to is Guyomar, she is honestly one of the best. She is always punctual and prepared for each lesson. Her lessons go through different themes as well as language concepts so I am expanding my vocabulary but she also gives suggestions on different authors, podcasts, and videos to enjoy in your spare time. She picks up the patterns of my mistakes and addresses them. The lessons are immersed in the language I'm learning and she is always encouraging conversations to push my language skills. Her lessons are very detailed, easy to follow, and productive. Moreover, she's very fun to talk to so I look forward to every lesson. I highly recommend her!

I've made it to the end of my third package with Guyomar, and I've truly enjoyed working with her all the way. Her creative and meticulously prepared lessons, which are always tailored to her students' levels and personal interests, have helped me progress from a beginning self-study learner, hardly able to function in my new Francophone environment, to a more confident and versatile speaker able to do some professional work in the language. Now I'm in a position to think about getting a French-language certification, which is not a point I've reached with any previous foreign language I've studied. Si vous n'ai jamais pris une leçon avec Guyomar, je vous recommande de prendre "French through Storytelling and Comprehensible Input". après avoir fini plusieurs de leçons, vous seriez rendu compte que comment vous améliorer ton français. Hands down!

I really enjoy the classes with Guyomar. I think that all the stories she uses are extremely engaging and really well-written such that the language contained is most useful for the student's level, and still it's like a great book where you want to know what happens next. Plus, Guyomar helps me express myself and gives me space to find my words, and the atmosphere is very light and fun. I think she's really an expert in what she does, I can only recommend her :)

Guyomar was punctual, warm and friendly. I really like her teaching style of story telling. Essentially, I share topics that I am interested in and Guyomar prepares and shares a related story which we then discuss in class. This is an excellent way to really enhance your vocab, grammar and speaking confidence. I was surprised that I could hold a basic conversation on a controversial topic and provide a balanced perspective. I was particularly interested in Guyomar as she speaks French and Maurician Creole as I often confuse these two languages. We used Skype to host the lesson which I prefer as you can add the teacher's Skype ID ahead of the lesson. I will definitely continue with Guyomar.

It's always so nice to have class with Guyomar. She is always joyful, funny and brings up really interesting topics. I feel like my speaking skills have already improved a lot after only a few classes, and her classes are also a place where I feel free to make mistakes and just "try my luck" with speaking.
