Hi, I’m Loki, a top 1% teacher on iTalki.
I’m from the UK, but now I’m based in Berlin. During the last few years I’ve helped hundreds of students like you to 'upgrade' their English. As well as being a qualified tutor, I was the editor of a music magazine for around 10 years, so I’m really into language, music and anything creative. As you can see, I'm a TEFL-certified English teacher with a Cambridge English certificate in IELTS preparation and a background in music journalism. My experience is primarily in one-on-one teaching, so my students and I achieve great results here on iTalki. Exactly what we’ll do together depends on your level and goals, but I can help you with fluency, grammar, pronunciation, IELTS, business English, written documents (CVs, letters, etc) and much more. I believe that everyone should feel safe and comfortable while learning. My classes are LGBTQ+ friendly and open to all adults of all ages.Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
Speaking practice – It might sound basic, but you must speak and listen if you want to take your skills to the next level.
Grammar – I’ve created my own guides on tricky topics like past tense, conditionals, phrasal verbs, articles and tons more.
Pronunciation – We’ll look at minimal pairs, r-controlled vowels, -ed endings and other areas where many people have problems.
IELTS Preparation – As you can see on my profile, I have a Cambridge English certificate that allows me to prepare students for the IELTS exam.
Business English – I can teach you essential work vocabulary, key phrases for meetings, email writing and more, or we even do interview preparation.

I’m very happy with my choice of Loki as an English teacher. Every lesson is informative, interesting, friendly and adopted for my needs and level. Loki is interested in progress and really makes efforts to achieve results. Also, as a native English speaker, Loki can explain language logic and teach you to use really native constructions.

Loki, such an astute teacher. I really look forward to every lesson with him. Not only can I talk about so many interesting topics with Loki, he always gives me direct feedback on my speaking style, pronunciation and correctness of my sentences. I appreciate our lessons! Loki gives lots of useful information about not only how to speak or write correctly but how to do it more natural. Also he always explains why it is so and gives interesting facts about history, culture or linguistic. Loki is an open-minded, calm and positive person. Talking to him is a great joy for me :)

Loki erklärt sehr gut und setzt eigens erstelltes Unterrichtsmaterial von Zeit zu Zeit zur Verfügung, dies immer an den richtigen Stellen. Dies, ohne zu überfordern oder zu viel anzuwenden. Nach dem Unterricht habe ich immer eine Zusammenfassung erhalten, welche mir eine Richtung gibt, was ich noch zu lernen habe. Ich hatte bis jetzt ca. 10 Stunden und werde weitere sehr gerne buchen.
Ich kann Loki uneingeschränkt und insbesondere gerne weiterempfehlen!
