I had a wonderful lesson with Astrid. She challenged me to speak in Spanish from the start, and I was surprised by how much I could actually understand when she spoke. All in all, I enjoyed every minute of my trial lesson with Astrid. She creates a warm, calm, and comfortable environment for learning. She is an excellent teacher with lots of experience, and you can tell right away why she has given over 5,000 lessons here on italki. She is a master at what she does and she is sincere and genuine in her approach to helping people learn. You will not regret taking a lesson with her. In fact, if you are reading this review right now go ahead and stop and just book your lesson already. I really appreciate how tailored Astrid's lessons are--she works hard to provide activities that really hone in on specific aspects of Spanish that I'm struggling with, and this is really helpful. Plus, the activities she suggests are always interesting and make for good conversation!

One of Astrid’s greatest abilities as a teacher is her talent at sparking conversations through interesting topics and questions. Which allows me to immerse myself in the conversation and before I know it I’m speaking Spanish without even thinking about it in a way that feels natural. Always 5 star classes :D

I’ve had several lessons with Astrid and have been very happy with her. She has exercises prepared for us to discuss, is good at explaining things and suggests what I need to work on. For the areas I need work, she gives me websites to look at so I can understand better.
