I’ve been studying with Maria for over a year now and she has helped me improve in both speaking and listening/understanding tremendously. She is always fun to talk with and she kindly corrects my mistakes. She is very good at explaining grammar as well. She provides examples and will challenge you to incorporate the grammar you’ve learned in your conversation. I highly recommend her!

Maria is an excellent teacher, I’d give her 10 stars if I could! I teach for a living myself and have spent a lot of time learning how to teach well—it’s not as intuitive as it may seem. I also love being a beginner and have been in plenty of situations where I’m learning something new, and I can tell you, not all teachers are created equal! Maria is incredibly kind and genuine in demeanor, supportive and patient, and completely professional. I’ve been working with her for almost a month now and look forward to every lesson. With an app that provides an overwhelming number of options for Spanish teachers, I feel lucky/grateful to have stumbled upon Maria.

Maria is an excellent teacher. The first thing I really appreciate about studying with her is that we are using a textbook, as opposed to conversation only classes or random worksheets. This type of guided study is filling in a lot of the gaps in my knowledge of Spanish. The second is that Maria’s command of the english language is top rate. She is a true linguist and this shines through in all of our interactions. Finally, her personality is warm, welcoming and witty. We never fail to find moments of laughter in the midst of all that learning. I look forward to many more lessons with Maria as I continue the journey.
