Diego Brian

I have had 166 lessons with Diego. I keep coming back because he is an amazing teacher. He has brought me from no Portuguese to being able to converse fluently (I still make a lot of errors, but I am easily understood). I am so happy with my results with Diego. And the lessons are fun!

Diego is a gem of a portuguese teacher. I was trying to learn on my own, and was too shy to try to speak much with others. Diego has been so encouraging, and I feel so supported to grow my confidence in expressing myself. He is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable in the Brazilian portuguese language. For example, he taught me the proper pronunciation of the vowels using exercises of putting my hand on my throat to feel the J of jacare. He can also break down to explain the many subtle exceptions to rules. Most importantly, he is patient, kind, engaging, open minded, and all around makes learning fun for me. Diego is a great teacher if you're looking to start learning portuguese!

Diego is a fantastic teacher. He is friendly, calm, and patient and he always puts his students needs first. When I practiced speaking in Portuguese, I felt like I could make mistakes and he would correct them without judgment. I also really liked the way that he would type out what I was saying as I was saying it--this helped my pronunciation, my understanding of grammar, and just generally aided my progress in the language. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking to study Portuguese.
