Sibel Kısacık

Sibel is an amazing teacher, I can't wait to book more lessons and become a regular student to get fluent in Turkish! I'm a false beginner in Turkish (I used to be very good at it...10 years ago!) and thought I had forgotten almost all of it, and that I would have to start from scratch all over again. But Sibel trusted my skills and challenged me with fun topics, questions, grammar and "woke up" a lot of vocabulary I thought I had forgotten. I also appreciated that I was invited to think how to say things in Turkish, instead of defaulting to English as a comfort zone, while the entire time the environment felt really safe, friendly and warm! Sibel is one of the best language teachers I have had, after learning more than 9 languages over a decade. She encourages you to use what you've learned and actually speak the language! Her lessons are fun and interactive, and if you learn quickly, she can also make them more productive and challenging. She is always very energetic and positive in our classes. I cannot recommend a teacher more than Sibel.

Sibel is one of the best language teachers I have ever had! She comes prepared for every lesson with an organized lesson plan and is great with providing supporting materials after class. She has achieved the perfect pedagogical balance between providing learning content and encouragement. Her energy and humour is infectious and makes learning Turkish a lot of fun!
