My teaching philosophy is simple, yet effective. I inspire students to gain confidence in their language learning journey, by uncovering the fear that prevents students speaking. I believe that when students are encouraged in their area of concern, they can see their errors as learning opportunities and therefore begin to improve. I do this by working on all the key skill areas: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
I have a CELTA qualification. In 2016, I taught English conversation classes at CCAA and Cultura Inglesa, in Piracicaba, Brazil. I currently work as a Teacher Aide & ESOL tutor at a primary school, am a group fitness instructor, and a wellness coach. I love helping others!Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
My lessons are upbeat and fun. I like to encourage students to have as much spoken practice as possible during my lessons. I use Google Documents and document and screen sharing via Skype as well.
My lessons are designed with your goals in mind. I can create any lesson to include material that helps you become more confident in whichever areas you need, whether that be; reading, writing, listening, or speaking.
I can also create homework exercises that are fun and relevant to each student’s individual goals and needs, and provide helpful error feedback at the end of each lesson.

CELTA - Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - Ara, Institute of Technology - 2018I had to complete a pre-course task which consisted of 50 tasks related to language learning and teaching in English, attend more than 150 hours of guided learning hours; including six hours of teaching practice, successfully complete two assessment components, which were: Planning and Teaching and Classroom-related written assignments. I can effectively prepare detailed lesson plans, with supporting language analysis to support language teaching.

Guest Speaker - Conversation ClassesThis experience has helped me become more empathetic towards other students who are learning another language. It can be very challenging to speak in front of others in a second language. I also learnt how wonderful it is to meet new people and help them to gain confidence in speaking a second language.

Meetings with Charlotte were very beneficial when I prepared for my trip to New Zealand. She explained the local specifics, the do’s and don’ts of respectfully interacting with Māori culture, places worth visiting, and the best places to eat. She also helped me better prepare for the weather awaiting us there (also informing me that roads tend to get closed in harsh conditions). Having these few lessons with Charlotte brought tremendous value to my trip.
I heartfully recommend Charlotte as a teacher to anyone planning to go to New Zealand or maybe just wanting to improve their English.
