I have just added TWO NEW course offerings. The first is a writing editing service. I also offer a special 20-hour package for test preparation. This is aimed at people who are struggling to get the score they want. Right now, I have a promotion and will offer 22 hours for the price of 20. Message me. Let's chat.
When I'm not teaching, I write creative nonfiction short stories about working abroad and teaching. I have about 15 stories as of March 2024.

My passion is in teaching test writing and reading comprehension. I have about 25 years of classroom teaching experience and three years online. I have mostly taught adults settling in Canada, business people in Europe and India, and university students in Saudi Arabia. My online students have mostly been business people and those wanting to do the IELTS. In a typical general lesson, we warm up by talking about what is new in our lives. We move on to an exercise where I ask you to describe something. The next activity depends on you. You can choose from reading and discussion of a daily news item, working on a programed lesson that you chose from a list or having free conversation.Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
My lessons are customized to your needs. I won't push something on you that you already know or don't want. I am a facilitator. I use a Socratic method of teaching where I ask questions and use your answers to guide what I teach and help you learn. Our sessions will be interactive where I encourage you to ask me questions. I don't just hand out answers but help you to find them. I support my teaching with videos, interactive websites, visuals and quizzes. Some websites that I use for homework are www.readworks.org www.agendaweb.org and www.esl-lab.com. Whatever we do is focused on your needs. English TeacherHere on Italki, I have guided adults to improve their English for the workplace, job interviews, test preparation, and conversation. Typically, my test prep students score IELTS 7 or better the first time they do the test. They succeed because I coach them to think, speak and write in English and to stop translating. During this time, I teach from my ebook, "Writing Attention-Getting Paragraphs." In 2022, I was in the top 1% group of English teachers here in Italki.

Buyer Expeditor Inventory ManagerI started in the warehouse with various inventory duties. I was promoted to a clerical cost control position in the purchasing department. I spent the last six years in purchasing and inventory management.

Reservist Noncommissioned OfficerI started as an artillery gun crew member. Promoted regularly, I rose to the rank of sergeant. In this capacity, I ran the technical section and taught new technicians to calculate firing data. In the field, I was the Battery Commanders technician: "5th (BC) Field Battery Royal Canadian Army." I served in order to pay for my college and university studies.
