Oi, I'm Jefferson! I'm a certified Brazilian Portuguese teacher with 7 years of experience teaching both face-to-face and online classes from my home base in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 🇧🇷
🔹 I only teach Adults (18+);
🔹 I can help you develop your language skills, regardless of your Portuguese level;
🔹 My lessons are based on: Grammar, Conversation, Pronunciation, Writing, Comprehension, and Reading;

Having graduated from university in 2019, I embarked on a fulfilling journey in the education field, specializing in language teaching. Over the past 7 years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, teaching both Portuguese and English in various settings. I've gained valuable experience teaching face-to-face classes in public and private schools in Rio de Janeiro, and have also had the opportunity to teach Portuguese to foreigners and English to Brazilians through online platforms. I have been taking Portuguese lessons with Jefferson for several months now. I can't recommend him enough. I started lessons with him with 0 confidence to talk in Portuguese, and now I am able to have a full conversation in Portuguese! Not only did he help me get out of my comfort zone to help me speak, but he also provided enough material and support to build a strong base. Obrigada Jefferson !

I have been taking lessons for quite some time with Jefferson, and I can say that he is an excellent teacher; as well as a kind and genuine human being. His approach as a teacher, that is to say, the methods, and materials that he uses, are carefully selected in accordance to your needs as student, regardless of the level of understanding you already might have in the language. In addition, he is a good listener, one who is willing to collaborate with the learner to bring out the student's interests and precise needs. Accordingly, he will integrate these particular needs and interests that the student has into his lessons, thereby making each lesson with Jefferson all the more enriching. I know I will continue to rely on Jefferson as a cornerstone teacher and guide in my Portuguese learning journey.

Jefferson is truly and incredible teacher! I recently completed my 100th lesson with him and feel so grateful for his expertise and patience. I meet with him 3 times a week and always find myself smiling after the lessons because he finds a way to make learning a new language fun! He’s brilliant as a professor, creative in his materials, and always happy to adjust to my season of life. I can’t recommend him enough. Obrigada, Jefferson!!
