My preferred name is Cake. My pronouns are they/them. Prior to teaching, I had worked for 6 years in both public and private sectors. My greatest achievements in life are being awarded EF High School Year Scholarships to US and New Zealand (a year each), MUIC Young Ambassador Scholarship to Canada for approximately 1 year and the British Council IELTS Prize (East Asia) 2020/21 - Local 1st Prize IELTS to the UK to pursue a Master of Art in Applied Linguistics at University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom.Показать перевод

At the beginning of my working life, I had a dilemma that I had to choose between a full-time corporate job and a temporary teaching job. I ended up taking the full-time offer because I was worried about job security. After taking a detour for a number of years, I’ve decided to follow my heart quitting the full-time job and becoming a teacher. It used to be my greatest regret in life but now that I am a teacher and have opportunities to share my experiences with my students, I am so grateful for all various work experiences I have had. Those experiences are so worthwhile in giving my students career and life advice. Up to now, I’ve been teaching English for over 4 years.Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
My teaching philosophy has always been the belief that people learn best when they’re having fun and being encouraged. Being a teacher nowadays is not just about educating, but it’s also about facilitating and coaching. Moreover, I admit that even though I am teacher, I still have much to learn. 100% recommend! I have been having weekly lessons with Kru Cake for about half a year now. I am a Thai language major at university so I have plenty of Thai classes, but I still prioritise these weekly lessons with Cake because they provide me with the speaking practice that is so essential to learning a language. Lessons with Cake are never boring because they are a creative and smart person who is happy to have a laugh or to talk about serious topics. They are very patient, let me speak as much as I like, and provide me with corrections in an encouraging way. They are a great teacher who really goes above and beyond. We discussed many travel-related vocabulary words, including “national park.” Although some words were a bit long, after repeating them a few times, they started to stick. Kru Cake guided me to speak Thai step by step without immediately giving the correct answers. Overall, the class flew by—it was really fun!

I love being able to learn about gender identity words in Thai! Been learning Thai weekly with Cake for almost 6 months now, I’m grateful! They have taught me so much and are flexible to teach in different ways (PowerPoint, google sheets, audio, etc.). They always customize classes if I want to focus on smthg. Best teacher 🥇

I really love lessons with Cake, it's always so fun & entertaining while being very educative! They are very good at creating a fun learning environment and encouraging their student throughout the lesson. If you're looking to learn Thai while understanding more of the popular Thai culture (movies, shows, TV), and having fun in the meantime, choose Cake as your teacher!

We talked a lot today, from the weather to the stock market, and we also reviewed the vocabulary from yesterday's lesson. Learning with Kru Cake makes me feel motivated. I feel like I'm making progress every day. Looking forward to our next lesson.
