Luciana D.

Luciana is a great teacher. She is always prepared, she is attentive and patient. She pushes me to speak more Spanish and always keep the focus on learning spanish. We have great conversations about everything from everyday life to big questions. I would reccomend her to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.

I adore Luciana. She creates lessons that enable one to talk about topics, even with limited latitude in a language, at an intelligent level. The questions she asks are thought-provoking, and stretch your abilities, and you feel the grown week after week. And, importantly, when she senses you defaulting to your own language, in your comfort zone when things start to feel hard, she remains steadfast in the objective and brings you back without fail. You stay committed to the lesson because she is as well. She doesn't let you give up. She is an incredible teacher and motivator While those qualities should be enough for any student to see that she is a clear frontrunner as their teacher of choice, I should also mention that she is a wonderful person, she is incredibly patient, serious about her craft, and so fun, given her smarts, quick wit, and sense of humor. I perform well, by my standard that is, because I feel at ease speaking with her. In short: 5 STARS, every time.

In my ~35 lessons with Lu, I have come to observe that Lu is a gifted teacher. On the technical side, she is well prepared; has lesson plans, homeworks, and expertise with the subject matter. This alone would make her a great teacher. However, what makes her truly special, is that she understands that learning needs to be fun, and makes it so: through her personality or the games, comics, and learning activities she chooses.
