Hi! I'm your new Italian teacher and I can't wait to begin this journey with you!
I'm Serena, I'm 30 years old and I'm Sicilian, but I live and work in Turin. I'm a qualified and experienced Italian teacher to foreign students, both online and in presence, and an English teacher to middle school students. I have more than five years of experience in teaching Italian around the world and in Italy, and I'm currently teaching online.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Cultures and a Master's degree in Intercultural Studies and International Relations. I can speak English, Spanish, Arabic and a little bit of French! I love travelling, learning new languages and reading!Показать перевод

I believe that learning a new language is a long journey that leads us to a new version of ourselves. For this reason, it's important to choose who'll be your guide and mentor. I see myself as an empathic guide and a good listener, always committed to helping my students reaching their language goals and overcoming their difficulties. I care about my students feelings and moods as I understand how difficult learning a new language can be. For this reason, my goal is to make the learning process stimulating and funny. My method is mostly based on communication. I strongly believe that speaking a language is the best way to learn it. My students know that they can make mistakes in class without fear or embarrassment, as I always say that it's simply part of the process. Making mistakes leads to success!
Concerning my classes, I use many different materials and books that help the student focus on the main four language abilities: speaking, reading, writing and listening. In addition to that, I like using authentic materials, such as songs, YouTube videos, newspaper articles, etc. My classes are tailored according to my student's needs, goals, preferences and learning style.Мой учебный материал

Insegnante di Italiano LSHo insegnato lingua italiana a studenti ispanofoni (alcuni di loro bilingue inglese/spagnolo) di tutte le fasce d’età (bambini 5-11, adolescenti 12-18 e adulti 18+) e di tutti i livelli (A1-C1 del QCER). Le lezioni avvengono in gruppi classe e in modalità privata, in presenza e online. Il metodo da me utilizzato è fortemente comunicativo e induttivo.

Serena was wonderful, her lesson was very helpful and is exactly what I was looking for as a mix of conversation and learning more about grammar and vocabulary! She is very easy to talk to. I truly feel like I am learning during the class and that it is a great use of my time. I will definitely be taking more classes with her

Serena é uma ótima professora, discutimos vídeos da atualidade, política, costumes italianos e de outros países, estórias engraçadas, piadas, curiosidades, etc. Além de tudo isso, ela é muito divertida, tornando o aprendizado uma experiência prazerosa.

Serena é uma ótima professora, didática excelente, sempre sugere filmes, vídeos, que usamos nas aulas. Além de aprender muito com ela, nos divertimos juntos, pois ela tem um senso de humor notável, o que torna o aprendizado muito prazeroso.
