Andrea Olvera

Andrea is an excellent academic who shares an array of knowledge when it comes to not only language but History and Anthropology as well. She teaches by conversing in Spanish as well as challenging her students to use what Spanish they already know and combine it with English. Afterwards she expresses how to correctly say what you said in a respectful manner! It is an efficient way of learning and already see improvement in my own reading and speaking ability!

Andrea is a great teacher! She's very patient and also engaging when presenting new material. She is good about listening to my goals and catering our lessons toward them. Highly recommend!

Andrea is a great teacher. She speaks at a level I can understand but not so slowly that I'm not pushed to improve. There is a good mix of my talking (with her correcting me or suggesting changes when needed) and her talking (a good opportunity for me to learn to understand spoken Spanish. The lessons are not highly structured but I'm sure they could be done in that way if that was my preference. She's very fun to talk to!

I love Andrea! She is patient and knowledgeable, makes class fun, and will adjust to any student's needs. Andrea is expertly fluent in English, so no matter your level, even if you don't know a single Spanish word, you will have her from day one. And, if you're interested in conversation practice, she has a variety of wide-ranging interests and can converse on any topic. If you give her class a try, you will not regret it.

I really enjoyed my first class with Andrea. She has excellent communication skills and conversation never lags. Very clear pronunciation and she easily adapts to what you want to talk about. I recommend her 100% and will definitely take more classes with her in the near future!
