My name is Dr. Hannah Stevens and I am a writer with a PhD in English and creative writing. I have taught around the world in universities and worked with organisations including the BBC, the British Embassy and Greenpeace.
My second book ON THE BODIES OF STRANGERS will be published in 2025. My first book IN THEIR ABSENCE was released in 2021 and has been translated in to a Bulgarian edition.
I am originally from England but currently live in Taiwan.Показать перевод

I’m very friendly and approachable. I love discussing a wide range of subjects, exploring interesting things and learning together. I enjoy meeting new students and building genuine friendships. I enjoy teaching, writing, reading, travelling and connecting with new people from different cultures.

I teach students through free-talk style lessons.
We can explore your interests through discussion, reading and researching materials in English. We can look at news, short stories, poetry, creative nonfiction essays, music and more! This will help you to build wide ranging and complex vocabulary whilst focusing on interesting and broad subjects.

Fascinating. We talked about my experience about 88 temples pilgrimage in Shikoku and transmission of Buddhism in ancient India through China to Japan. It is connected to the story of Midnight’s Children. The next chapter is Sam and Tiger.

Fantastic. We talked about the second half of the chapter ‘in the Sanderbans’ of Midnight’s Children. The setting was Bangladesh liberation war. Rushdie absorbed the historical event into his created narrative miraculously. Amazing.

Fabulous. We talked about the next chapter ‘ in the Sunderbans’ of Midnight’s children by Salman Rushdie. The protagonist and three young soldiers entered into the jungle and lost in it. Overwhelming story. Thanks!

Excellent! We talked about the second half of the chapter called ‘Buddha’ of midnight’s children by Salman Rushdie. The historical background is Independence of Bangladesh. What a fascinating story. The next chapter is ‘in the Sundarbans’. I can’t wait.
