My name is Adrian. I was born in the Philippines, native Filipino and English speaker. I have been working in Japan for the past six years as a finance professional. I have started teaching in italki from December 2024. Before coming to Japan, I attended Japanese language school for seven years. So I know how difficult it is study a new language as an adult because we are used to speaking and thinking in our native language. Aside from Japanese (JLPT N2) I also studied Chinese (HSK 4), French and Korean.
In my spare time, I like to travel across Japan as well as overseas. As you would know, I also like studying other culture and languages and reading English and Japanese books.Показать перевод

Today, I learned about causative verbs in Tagalog, which I had struggled to understand for a long time. Teacher Adrian provided many hints and explanations that helped me clear up my misunderstandings. The explanations were mainly in Tagalog, with Japanese used for difficult parts, which deepened my understanding.

Today, I had a conversation practice session with Mr. Adrian, focusing on Filipino cuisine. He adjusted his speaking speed and vocabulary to my listening comprehension and vocabulary level. As he also understands Japanese, I highly recommend him to those who are not confident in their English skills. 日本語を完璧に解されますので私のように英語力に自信の無い方にオススメします。

I took a Tagalog listening practice lesson with Mr. Adrian. He spoke slowly and clearly so I could understand him, and he even typed things out when necessary. He is a kind and gentle person who I trust. I highly recommend him to everyone. Also, he understands Japanese very well, so I can recommend him to Japanese people who are just starting to learn Tagalog.
