★Korean with Claire★

Another wonderful lesson with Claire. I have been taking lessons with Claire for a long time now and I cannot recommend her enough. I feel like I have improved so much throughout my time learning with her. She is a wonderful, patient, kind teacher who listens attentively to what you have to say. She always comes to lessons prepared and on time and she is very flexible also. She prepares excellent materials and uses a variety of different things (ppts, book, document) so the lesson is never boring. She also covers all necessary skills (conversation, reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary, sentence building) throughout the lesson so you get a good grasp of the material and you aren't lacking in any aspect of the language. Her teaching style is kind and understanding and you are not afraid to make mistakes in her lesson. It is a very comfortable environment to learn and improve your Korean. I am very thankful I found her as my Korean tutor.

I've been studying Korean for almost two years, and I don't know how I ever managed before I started learning with Claire. Working with Claire always gets me excited about learning Korean. It's a struggle sometimes, but Claire's patience and enthusiasm inspire me to keep going. I'm so grateful for her gentle teaching and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn this wonderful language.

Another amazing lesson with Claire! I feel very fortunate to have met a Korean teacher as amazing as Claire! I feel like I come on leaps and bounds every class we have together. She is always well prepared for each lesson and teaches a variety of skills every time. In the short hour we have together she teaches vocabulary and grammar and practices speaking listening and reading skills. She gives the opportunity to make so many of your own sentences and asks questions relevant to your own experiences making the learning more student focused. Claire is always willing to give me homework to improve my skills even further and she's always focusing on my weakest areas! I absolutely love talking with Claire and our lessons are my favourite time of the week! I highly recommend learning Korean with Claire!

After a long break due to some health issues, I was finally able to return to classes with Claire. Although I had studied on my own and at a Sejong Institute, she was able to adapt quickly to my level of Korean and was happy to review things I needed to practice, but also move on when she felt that something was too simple for me.

it’s been a long time since my last lesson with claire and i haven’t had any lessons at all in a few months so i was worried i’d struggle to speak today, but claire made the lesson so comfortable and fun that it flew by!! we talked about many different things and it felt like talking to a friend, claire is a very supportive, positive and motivating teacher :) i highly recommend claire to anyone wanting to practice speaking in korean - even if you’re shy and worried about that (like me!), claire is very good at keeping the conversation going so the atmosphere never feels awkward and you can practice speaking comfortably without pressure. thank you! i hope to do many more lessons in the future :)

I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed with the amount of grammar in Korean. Claire was very kind to arrange a review lesson to go over everything we've done so far which helped me a lot both to remember everything we've done up until now and relieve some of the anxiety I was starting to feel about learning Korean.
