Paola is the perfect teacher: always interesting to talk to about everything, patient, friendly, intelligent and knowledgeable. The different subjects and materials she brings to class are always fascinating - from poetry and literature to history or world news - and she knows how to adapt her lessons to my interests and needs. The past few lessons in which we translated poems from Latin to Italian have been a delight. I always look forward to our weekly class :) Grazie Paola! 🙏

Studying Italian with Paola has been truly delightful. I felt immediately comfortable with her as she is so patient, clear, gentle with corrections, and easy to talk to. I appreciate how quickly she picked up on my interests, and as a result I genuinely enjoy doing my homework :) I always look forward to her lessons, Paola is a class act.

I love her classes so much! It is fantastic to learn so much about Roman history in Italian! She knows so so much, and it is enjoyable to listen to all of her stories about Ancient Rome and modern Italy!!! I can’t wait for my next class!

Yet another great lesson. Paola takes you on a tour of all the most interesting corners of Italian culture and history. This time, it took a modern turn of phrase as its starting point, but led back to an important, though to foreigners, not well known, event in Italian history — very cool indeed!

I don't typically write reviews, but I've been meaning to write this one for a while. I've taken a few dozen lessons with Paola already. She's never been less than extremely professional, well-prepared, and focused on her lessons. Her lessons invite discussions that are deep and that cover a wide range of topics. The immediate consequence of this approach is that she always keeps you on your toes: you are forced to think about topics you have not thought about before, share complex thoughts in complex language, or share an emotional reaction when you can't find the words but eagerly want to. And while her lessons always push the boundaries of your speaking abilities, she's always patient. I can't say how Paola approaches beginner lessons, but I can say Paola is the perfect teacher for serious students with some level of experience with Italian.

Another excellent lesson! Very interesting topic: the annual presidential address to the nation in occasion of the New Year. We compared the styles of two Presidents of the Republic, Pertini and Mattarella. I learned a lot of new and interesting vocabulary
