Juri

In this lesson, we talked about my week and what I did. We also learned how to say that I want to do something and how to ask and say where things are. Thanks to Juri sensei, I feel like I can hold a conversation and express what I want to say in Japanese only after a few weeks. We also practiced listening and writing. The lesson was really fun, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Another great lesson! I appreciate that it is always easy to talk to Juri. She always keeps the conversation flowing naturally and stays patient and cheerful even when pausing to explain parts I don't understand. It feels safe to try using new words and grammar and expressing myself in a foreign language without fear of embarrassment. I also appreciate the variety of materials we use, like articles, videos, and audio clips. Highly recommend her as a teacher no matter your level of Japanese!

Juri is the best Japanese teacher on italki. She is patient during conversations, uses real life examples and materials and is open to studying/explaining anything the student wants. Her fluent English and understanding of western culture enable her to explain grammar and concepts in an easy to understand way.

I've been having lessons with Juri for about a year and she's a wonderful teacher. Our lessons are always so much fun, she gives really good feedback and homework activities are always helpful and interesting. I couldn't recommend her more.
