Hi! I am Teacher Sonny, a professional teacher from the Philippines. I have been teaching here in italki for more than four (4) years. I teach Filipino/Tagalog, Cebuano, and English!
During my bachelor’s degree, I studied Filipino Linguistics, so I have a lot to teach to my students.

Teaching is my passion. As a teacher it is my obligation to enrich the learnings of my students most especially when it comes to learning a specific language since it is a complex type of education. As a teacher I am always willing to explain all the intricacies of the language, and to always open my ears for suggestions and recommendations to further empower myself to become a more effective teacher. My teaching styles are very easy so my students won't feel pressure throughout the lesson. Usually in my class I provide pdf files containing the lesson structures for better and standardized learning, including my video presentations for assessment, PowerPoint slides, articles and news. Sonny is a great and enthusiastic teacher! He has such a vitality about him and talking to him makes me want to learn how to speak Tagalog even faster. He is very smart and very quick in discerning my current level and finding ways to get me to the next.
