Certified CELTA/ELE teacher with over 12 years of teaching experience. I graduated from university in Chile, where I studied to become a teacher of English. While still a student I won a scholarship to live in England and work as a Spanish tutor in a language school, so that experience really helped me become more fluent and relaxed about my use of English. I discovered that the most important thing when learning a language isn't to speak perfectly or with a specific accent, but to actually be able to communicate with other people and be understood, that's when learning really becomes motivating. In 2017 I took the CELTA course which gave me a different perspective on how to teach using ONLY English, something I thought almost impossible.

I love dynamic classes, because I think it creates confidence with the student, as well I enjoy more formal classes where we learn the technicalities of the language. As I've been studying other languages I began to develop better techniques to learn a new language as well new ways to make it easier to understand when teaching it. I think the best way to learn a language is by listening and in a casual conversation, because that way you start knowing which words are the ones that you use the most and translate them to a add them to your vocabulary.
