Here at iTalki I have specialized in teaching Dutch to all level of students: from A0 to C1, inburgering, and medical Dutch for healthcare professionals. Holiday schedule for the next weeks BUT I do work! Happy Holidays to all! I am very patient. I think it's important to make it fun and not forced. I was a language instructor in China for ten of the eleven years that I lived there (and an adventure tour leader for one!) and have also been teaching online for over three years now. My students have ranged from kindergarteners all the way up to adult professionals. I lived and worked in Guilin, Chongqing and Jiamusi and have developed a deep understanding of the people and culture of the country, although I enjoy learning about all cultures. After leaving China, I worked in law enforcement for a year and went back to school to pursue a degree in environmental science, but came back to teaching because I missed it!

Thomas - teaching 11, beginner´s knowledge in 3 more When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our past sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. Since then, I have been using Skype for my classes and things work out very well. Do make sure though to have a reliable internet connection and a strong Wi-Fi. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students have taken for our class, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.
