Certified CELTA Teacher with a Master's Degree in Languages I have a Master's Degree in English Languages and Linguistics as well as a CELTA Certificate. I started teaching English in 2016 in Mexico where I worked with children. Since the beginning of 2018 I've been teaching English as well as German in Sydney, Cambridge and Switzerland to students from all over the world. Ich begann mit dem Unterrichten von Hochdeutsch 2017 während eines Auslandssemesters. Als ich Italki entdeckte, spezialisierte ich mich auf Zürcherdeutsch und helfe seither Einwanderern bei ihrer Integration in der Schweiz. Das Level variiert dabei von Beginnern bis hinzu Fortgeschrittenen. Aus Mangel an guten Unterrichtsmaterialien habe ich im Verlauf der Jahre meinen eigenen Kurs mit einer Vielzahl verschiedener Übungstypen zusammengestellt. Ich biete auch weiterhin Unterricht in Hochdeutsch an und kann eventuell auch bei weiteren Schweizer Dialekten weiterhelfen.

It is important to me that the student understands the language, so I will be explaining a lot of background information (which I also had to learn and that had helped me). Like that it will be easier to remember. I'm patient and a good listener. I insist on correcting the mistakes a student will be making ( a lot of teachers, just let them slipping by, but I find it important to tell them when they make mistake, so they can learn.) I've read and seen some videos on memory technique and how to best learn new information (spaced repetition) so I will try to include that into my teaching as well.

We can act out situations from your daily life, such as supermarket, making appointment, job interview. I have been teaching foreign languages online for the past two years. I take teaching serious, and at the same time I like to have fun with it. Conversation is very important to me, and you will have the opportunity to practice talking, as that is how you get fluent speaking a new language.
