Lebanese Arabic Taken Further / اللهجة اللبنانية للمستوى المتقدّم

Please note: This lesson is available only for Arabic learners who are at least B2 in both MSA and Lebanese Arabic.

Educated Spoken Arabic in a nutshell identifies as any vernacular Arabic category (dialect) that uses a plenty of MSA loanwords. This linguistic version is quite common among the highly educated and sophisticated social classes and is used in their everyday life and communications. 
The target vernacular Arabic in this lesson is the Lebanese dialect. This lesson will provide you the opportunity to be able to grasp the skill of smoothly blending MSA and Lebanese Arabic in your written and spoken speech. In light of this, texts and conversations, alongside some relevant videos, will be used to aid your learning journey. Additional homework and exercise can be offered upon your preference to consolidate the acquired skills.

This lesson offers you the opportunity to expand your knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic beyond its basics through the:

A broad spectrum of materials are available to render the teaching-learning process highly enjoyable. These materials, besides the strategy to follow, can be agreed upon in a trial lesson in which also your level can be assessed towards a better approach.

Quizzes and tests can be also included in the lesson to assess your progress and acquired skills.
When it comes to enhancing grammar knowledge, the way to do so is away from the dry typical way that consists of dictating grammatical rules without further examples whatsoever. It will always be indirect, within the process of learning from the material of your interest, and delving further into this aspect would be after having gained a good background that allows you to have an idea about at least most of the information you would come across later. 

Upon demand, individual lessons are available about special aspects of Arabic grammar, such as:
homonyms and heteronyms, 
root system and its derivatives,
and any other grammatical concept that you wish to reinforce your understanding of.

MSA Taken Further / العربية الفصحى للمستوى المتقدّم

If you would like to improve your English through various learning activities, the methods of which are far away from traditional and demotivating methods, feel free to book a lesson and to notify me about your language level, as well as what topic you would like to improve at. 
We can use means like videos, images, articles, and learning games to induce your skills. 
I will be using only English during the lesson, so that you can be properly immersed in the atmosphere! I know, this is something you didn't get to see at school or university.

This lesson offers you a conversational session in MSA about any topic chosen by you or me upon agreement. Whenever possible, I will provide corrections and explanations to help you improve your skills. 
The session will be monolingual in its essence. Using English is allowed upon necessity, for example when something might be too complex for you to understand its explanation in Arabic. A trial lesson can be convenient for such situations, in which you can let me know about your preferences and assess your comprehension level.

An MSA Talk Session لِنتكلّم العربيّة!

Please note: 
1) The LEBANESE Arabic basics teaching lesson is available only for learners who have reached at least a B1 level in Modern Standard Arabic.
2) Lebanese Arabic learners who have reached an A2 - B1 level with minimal to no knowledge of MSA can choose this lesson for revision. Upon successfully finishing it, they are entitled to choose the other available lessons of Lebanese Arabic if they wish so. 
3) Arrangements can still be made for complete beginners who are PROFICIENT or NATIVE English speakers and would like to learn MSA and/or Lebanese Arabic.

Through this lesson, I am offering tutoring the essential bricks of the Lebanese Arabic dialect, including grammar and common lexicon. Most of the aforementioned happens to be in common with MSA, hence the requirement to have attained a fairly acceptable level in the latter prior to starting with Lebanese. 

In addition, if you are an MSA and/or Lebanese Arabic learner who has finished the basic grammar and would like to consolidate the knowledge you have acquired, correct your doubts and mistakes, and to revise all what you have acquired during your learning journey, this lesson will aid you towards doing so. 

A trial lesson is recommended initially to discuss and highlight the aspects you have already covered and would like to revise and assess. 
You can choose to have a test in what you have learnt, explanations of them with additional exercise, or both of them.

Teaching strategies can be agreed upon and adjusted in accordance with individual preferences, particularly regarding the teaching material favoured by the student and the preference of additional homework and quizzes.

The standard strategy would be working on elevating comprehension and expression skills through texts tailored to the student's preferences while addressing the grammar points present in the texts and acquainting the student with them gradually and smoothly and on a consistent basis until achieving full understanding of them.

Basics of Arabic for Beginners / Revision for Elementary and Intermediate Learners

If you are an English language learner at an intermediate level onwards, this lesson allows you the opportunity to:
1) Consolidate your speaking skills
2) Expand your vocabulary
3) Boost your self-confidence and capability of talking about various topics

In case using English at some places might feel intimidating and complex, and you don't speak any of the languages that I speak but would like to have something explained to you, I will make sure to simplify my elaboration as much as possible to guarantee your proper understanding.

A Conversation in English / Разговор по-английски / محادثة بالإنجليزية

This lesson is primarily for medical students and doctors who are Arabic or Russian speakers, whose English level is intermediate onwards, and would like to enhance their medical knowledge in English language.
Teaching material includes diseases and clinical cases, practical skills, quizzes, and clinical information and curricula.

Medical English / Медицинский английский / الطب بالإنجليزية

If you are a medical professional whose Arabic is not your mother-tongue and for any reason you need to utilise it in your career, I offer assistance with regards to improving your lexicon and constructing your speaking skills in the field. 
Note: Pure Arabic medical jargon is occasionally included, as it is almost never used in medical practice of Arabic speaking environments. Instead, simplified terms are used plus English loanwords.  
Similarly to the other lesson categories, these lessons are tailored to individual demands and address the main areas learners would like to work on. 
Preexisting knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic and/or LEVANTINE (preferably Lebanese) Arabic is a must.

Medical Arabic

In the other lessons I offer, I give you the freedom to direct the lesson you book the way you wish, using the methods and content of your choice. 

In this lesson, though, the content is already present: dialogues about specific situations that are a part of our everyday lives. The freedom, however, is retained also here, as you can still pick from those dialogues what you would like to study. You can also pick as many as you wish, from one dialogue up until covering all of them.

You are also free to request another version of the same dialogue topic (for example, after having studied a dialogue about making an order at a restaurant, you can ask to study in the next lesson another dialogue about the same topic, yet using different elements).

Depending on your level, we will be practising reading and pronunciation, followed by discussing new words and phrases whenever needed. 

As in the case with the other lessons, you will be having your Google doc, in which the dialogue(s) of your choice will be there, together with notes and comments on your questions. 

When you book this lesson, you will receive the list of available dialogues titles (continuously updated) and kindly don't forget to let me know which dialogue you have picked, your level in Lebanese Arabic, and whether or not you recognise the Arabic script, so as to make the suitable preparations for your class.

SITUATIONAL DIALOGUES ONLY - For beginners and intermediate learners
