In this course, I will conduct a needs analysis and initial assessment.  I'll learn about your goals, challenges, and in what specific ways you use English.  We will then focus on your weak areas with the use of my books.  We'll use minimal pairs, practice sentences, shadowing, and other speaking activities to help you hone in on your American English accent!  I will show you exactly how to make those difficult English sounds.   Additionally, I'll give you practice activities and resources that you can use on your own!

Accent Reduction with a focus on North American English

In this course, you'll gain confidence and build your fluency on the topic of health and wellness.  We'll discuss such topics as health and wellness practices, mental health awareness and self-care practices, work-life balance, fitness and physical activities, and healthy eating habits.  Learn new idioms!  Enhance your grammar and sharpen your pronunciation. In this course we'll explore all there is to know about the TOEFL iBT test offered by ETS.  We'll dive in to all four of the speaking questions and you'll learn what is required to achieve the score you want according to ETS rubrics.  With my supply of mock speaking tests, you'll have the opportunity to hone in on your speaking skills.  I'll give you the strategies, feedback, and guidance you need.  I'll share tips on note-taking methods and help you improve your summarization and paraphrasing skills!  Do you need help with the  Integrated Writing Question and the Academic Discussion Question?  I'll guide you through it!  (Students should be at least 17 years of age to take this course.)

I've taught one-to-one and small group conversational lessons. I've used a variety of materials, such as websites, PDF's, and slides to teach English lessons. I often share my screen with teaching books that I own. I've specialized in IELTS/TOEFL speaking prep, Business English, and accent reduction. I've held Super Tutor status for the better part of four years.

This certificate prepared me by teaching me the methods and pedagogy involved in teaching children and teenagers - including TPR.   I studied several modules and took quizzes on the material learned.  This course featured practical guidance on how to prepare lessons, choose appropriate materials, and gave ideas on games and activities that could be used in class.
