Дверь, очень скромная на вид, обитая железом, вела со двора в комнату с побуревшими от сырости, исписанными углем стенами и освещенную узким окном с железною решеткой, затем налево была другая комната, побольше и почище, с чугунною печью и двумя столами, но тоже с острожным окном: это — контора, и уж отсюда узкая каменная лестница вела во второй этаж, где находилось главное помещение. Это была довольно большая комната, но, благодаря постоянным сумеркам, низкому потолку и тесноте от ящиков, тюков и снующих людей, она производила на свежего человека такое же невзрачное впечатление, как обе нижние. Наверху и также в конторе на полках лежал товар в кипах, пачках и бумажных коробках, в расположении его не было видно ни порядка, ни красоты, и если бы там и сям из бумажных свертков сквозь дыры не выглядывали то пунцовые нити, то кисть, то конец бахромы, то сразу нельзя было бы догадаться, чем здесь торгуют. И при взгляде на эти помятые бумажные свертки и коробки не верилось, что на таких пустяках выручают миллионы и что тут, в амбаре, каждый день бывают заняты делом пятьдесят человек, не считая покупателей.

01 白雪放假啦！Báixuě fàng jià la! Baixue is on holiday!

今天，白雪告诉我，下个星期她有七天的假期，这是她的年假。她跟我分享了她的计划。

放假的时候，她一点儿也不想待在家里。因为她非常喜欢运动，所以她打算下个星期每天都去锻炼锻炼。她觉得工作日的时候，每天待在办公室八九个小时，需要坐在电脑前面很长时间。如果不运动，身体会慢慢变得不健康。

星期一早上她打算去公园跑步；
星期二她可能去游泳；
星期三她和朋友们去打篮球；
星期四她想去小河边骑自行车；
星期五她会去爬山。
星期六她不出门儿，她得打扫一下儿她的家，然后喝喝咖啡看看书，好好儿休息一下儿。

她问我星期天有没有空，她想和我一起去买衣服，吃饭和看电影。我高兴地答应了！真希望星期天快点儿来呀！

Today, Bai Xue told me that she has seven days' holiday next week, which is her annual leave. She shared her plan with me.

She doesn't want to stay at home at all during the holiday. Because she likes sports very much, she plans to exercise every day next week. She felt that she needed to sit in front of the computer for a long time when she stayed in the office for 8 or 9 hours every day on weekdays. If don't exercise, body will slowly become unhealthy.

She is going to run in the park on Monday morning;

She may go swimming on Tuesday;

On Wednesday, she went to play basketball with her friends;

On Thursday, she wants to go cycling by the river;

She will go climbing on Friday.

She doesn't go out on Saturday. She has to clean her house, drink coffee, read books and have a good rest.


She asked me if I was free on Sunday. She wanted to go shopping, dinning out and watching movies with me. I said yes happily! I really hope this Sunday come soon!

Halo semua! Bagaimana akhir minggu kalian? Baik? 
Akhir-akhir ini pekerjaan saya sangat banyak dan harus selesai sebelum tenggat waktu (締切・deadline). Jadi hampir setiap malam saya begadang. “Begadang” di Bahasa Jepang artinya 遅くまで起きている, di Bahasa Inggris artinya “stay up late”. Ya, saya tahu ini tidak baik untuk kesehatan. Dan karena sering begadang, setiap hari saya minum kopi lebih dari 4 cangkir, juga menjadi lapar di malam hari. Aduh! Saya harus mulai diet lagi! Kalian juga jangan sering begadang ya, selamat beraktifitas! Sampai jumpa di podcast berikutnya!

"A person who’s really inspired me to do something is actually my uncle Dave, who started his own tech company about 5 years ago.He’s now turned it into a highly successful company, employing over 50 people today, which I think is a very inspirational story.

 I’ve always had an interest in anything related to technology, especially computers, and my uncle both inspired and motivated me to make the decision to study computer science in college.

I had to make this decision about 3 years ago, at which time I was at a crossroads in my life, and was at my wits end trying to decide something that I knew would affect my whole future life in a pretty short space of time. However, after getting some inspirational advice from my uncle Dave, I decided to follow in his footsteps, and study computer programming. 

The main reason I find him such an inspiration is that he started this business from scratch, while still only in his early twenties, and within only 3 years turned it into the success it is today. I watched him when he first started in this business, and how he poured his heart and soul into it ,to get the business going, and I’m always so inspired by the way he literally eat’s, sleeps and breathes the business .

 Even though his business has grown so much, he still never  sits back, and keeps working hard to keep growing and expanding the business,and always goes the extra mile, which is something that really motivates, and inspires me to keep studying hard.
