"Internal viruses" that is killing your communication skiills at work

The term “internal virus” is a metaphorical way of describing negative thought patterns, habits, and beliefs that undermine your ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting. 
These “viruses” operate internally, sabotaging your confidence, clarity, and ability to connect with others.

Fear of Judgment:

Symptoms: Hesitation to speak up in meetings, avoiding difficult conversations, censoring your ideas, worrying excessively about what others think.

Antidote: Challenge negative thoughts, focus on the value you bring to the table, remember that everyone makes mistakes.

Imposter Syndrome:

Symptoms: Feeling like a fraud, doubting your abilities, attributing successes to luck, constantly comparing yourself to others.

Antidote: Acknowledge your accomplishments, focus on your strengths, remember that everyone has weaknesses, challenge your negative self-talk.

Perfectionism:

Symptoms: Overthinking your communication, spending too much time crafting emails or presentations, getting paralyzed by the fear of making mistakes.

Antidote: Accept that “good enough” is often good enough, prioritize progress over perfection, focus on the overall message rather than minor details.

はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの13回目です。まだ５月ですが、朝や昼の日差しが強くなってきました。手術の傷は塞がってきました。まだ運動はできません。午後にダンベルとスクワットをしてみたら、途中でお腹が痛くなってきたのでやめました。髪が伸びてきたのでそろそろ切りたいです。先週大学のクラスの申し込みを終わらせました。

Hello, this is episode 13 of season 2 of my podcast. It's only May, but the morning and afternoon sun is getting stronger. My surgical wounds have healed. I can't exercise yet. I tried to use some dumbbells and do some squats in the afternoon, but my stomach started hurting halfway through, so I had to stop. My hair is getting long and I want to get it cut soon. I finished registering for university classes last week.

今日は久しぶりに買い物に行きました。買い物といっても、オンラインで買おうと思っていた服を試着しに行っただけなので、実際に買い物をしたわけではありません。街には観光客や若い人がたくさんいて、平日なのにとても混んでいて驚きました。そういえば今日はゴールデンウィークでした。どこの店もセールやキャンペーンをしていました。買おうと思っていた服は写真のイメージと違ったので、他のにすることにしました。家に帰ってから、綿のパンツとTシャツをオンラインで買いました。

Today I went shopping for the first time in a while. I say shopping, but I just went to try on some clothes I was planning to buy online, so I didn't actually do any shopping. I was surprised to see so many tourists and young people in the city and it was very crowded even though it was a weekday. That reminds me, today was Golden Week. All the shops were having sales and promotions. The clothes I was going to buy were different from the image in the picture, so I decided to buy something else. When I got home I bought some cotton trousers and T-shirts online.

そういえば最近の授業で、日本語の「パンツ」のアクセントの違いについて話しました。日本語でパンツというと、ズボンと下着の二つの意味があります。私が今言っているのは、ズボンのほうのアクセントです。下着のアクセントは、パンツです。パンツ（上昇）とパンツ（下降）です。現代人が普段着ている服は西洋文化のものなので、日本語でもほとんどがカタカナです。それに合わせて、服の素材もカタカナで表現することが多いです。たとえば、「綿」や「麻」は、「コットン」や「リネン」と表記されていることがあります。どちらも同じ意味です。私は綿の服が好きです。

Ho 28 anni e sono poliglotta. Mi piace imparare le lingue e ne parlo 14. L’italiano è la mia lingua madre, ma conosco anche l’inglese, il tedesco, il russo, lo spagnolo, il portoghese brasiliano, il rumeno, il bulgaro, lo svedese, il catalano, il francese, il greco moderno e il persiano. Parlo anche lombardo, la lingua locale della regione in cui vivo, la Lombardia. Inoltre sto studiando l’ucraino, ma ancora non lo parlo. Sono insegnante e traduttore. Insegno tedesco in un liceo linguistico, cioè una scuola dove si studiano tante lingue. Sono membro di HYPIA, l’associazione internazionale di poliglotti, e ho un canale su YouTube. Le mie lingue preferite sono il russo e il rumeno. In questo podcast voglio parlare della mia esperienza di poliglotta e darvi consigli su come imparare le lingue. E tu? Quali lingue parli? 　　　少年野球　一般的には小学生がする野球として使われている。　
少女　７，８歳から１５歳～１８歳くらいまでの女の子
若者　政府の平成２６年版「子ども・若者白書」では、若者を１５歳から３４歳までの男女としている。
青年　青春期の男女。１０代後半から２０代、３０代の男女
　　　青年団　地域に住む２０代から３０代の青年男女で組織されている団体

The difference between Shoonen and Wakamono

Shoonen : boys around age from 7 and 8 to 15 years old
  　　　　　Shoonen Yakyu(baseball): It’s usually used for baseball played by elementary school students
Shoojo  : girls around age from 7 and 8 to 15 or 17 years old
Wakamono: according to the white paper for children and young people by Japanese　government, Wakamono is used for people aged from 15 to 34.
Seenen : people from late teens to 30’s
 　　　　Seenen-dan is a group organized in the region by the youth who live there.
