昨日、新宿へ電車で行きました。朝8時ぐらいの電車はとても混んでいました。コロナ前と変わらない混（こ）み具合（ぐあい）でした。以前のような日常生活が戻って来たのかなと感じました。
新宿へ行った理由は、私の生徒さんと会うためです。初めて対面（たいめん）で会いました。でも、オンラインでいつも会っていたので、初めて会う感覚（かんかく）ではありませんでした。
コロナにも負けず、日本に留学に来た彼女たちはとてもたくましく見えました。
彼女たちと私では、世代（せだい）も国籍（こくせき）も違います。彼女たちが目にする、そして感じる日本の印象がとても興味深いです。
私がイギリスに留学していたころは、インターネットを通して語学を勉強する時代ではありませんでした。留学していたころは、英語が分からず必死（ひっし）でした。英語だけではなく、教科の勉強について行くことも大変でした。授業は対面授業にディスカッションと当時の私にはハードな内容でした。なので、常（つね）に録音機（ろくおんき）を持ち歩いていました。同じ学科（がっか）の友人にも教えてもらうことが多かったです。英語もラングエージ・インスティテュートに何度も通い、エッセイの原稿（げんこう）を修正（しゅうせい）してもらったり、プレゼンの英語を聞いてもらったりとほんと必死だったことを思い出しました。
コロナの影響で、留学生活も一変（いっぺん）しました。でも、オンラインを通して新たな出会いができる時代になったように思います。そして、italkiのようなオンライン語学学習を通して驚（おどろ）くほど上手（じょうず）に日本語が話せる生徒さんにも最近（さいきん）出会（であ）いました。日本にいなくても、こんなにも上手（じょうず）に日本語が話せるようになるのかと驚（おどろ）きました。
Ｚ世代（せだい）はＳＮＳの使い方もとても上手です。ＳＮＳあっての、ＳＮＳありきのコミュニケーションになっています。
彼女たちの日本での留学生活は、インターネットをコミュニケーションのツールとして使いつつ、日本の空気も存分（ぞんぶん）に吸ってほしいと私は願っています。そしてまた、会いたいな。

音読み　しつ
訓読み　うしなーう

意味は、うしなう、もれる、まちがえる、にげる、とかそんな感じです。

例えば、

・失望ーしつぼう　がっかりしたこと

・損失ーそんしつ　お金をうしなうこと、財産、利益など

・紛失ーふんしつ　ものをなくすこと

・失言ーしつげん　言ってはいけないことを言ってしまうこと

・失敗ーしっぱい　方法などがわるく、目標が達成できないこと


こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・彼には本当に失望した。とても期待していたのに残念だ。

・株の運用で大きな損失を出してしまった。

・会社の鍵を紛失してしまった。

・この会議は大切な会議です、失言しないように気をつけてください。

・彼に任せたことが失敗だった。
