Are "let it go" and "let go" the same? Is "let go" a phrasal verb? Thanks in advance.

"Let go" is not a phrasal verb. It is just two verbs. Here are some examples of usage: "Let it go" is usually metaphorical. If you keep obsessing over something, I might say, "Let it go." Or if someone insulted me, I might just "let it go." To "let go" means to stop holding on. (Literally to loosen your grip and allow (LET) something/someone leave your grip and travel (GO) away from you. It is usually used with "of" if there is a direct object. Examples: Let go of my arm! Let go of me! Let go of my hair. Let go! Let go of the handle. Let go of the gun. Let go of your sister. Let go of the rope. Let go of your inhibitions. Let go of all the tension in your body. (In this case, you can even say, "Just let go. Let go and breathe.")
