"Plump" is a friendlier way to say "fat" when describing a person. If I describe someone as plump, I'm saying they are not thin, but also not very fat. Some people say "pleasingly plump" to describe a plump person they find attractive. Calling someone "fat" usually sounds mean. Some people who are overweight do use that word to describe themselves, though.

Plump is a nice way to say a bit fat or even fat. Some people may find it attractive. You shouldn't call anyone fat because it is rude and mean, in general. I honestly think it depends on the country's word culture because for me it would sound a bit rude if you were to call me plump rather say fat. Plump is referring to a shapeless round object and as a woman you can't call me shapeless, fat and curvy, yes but not plump🤷‍♀️😂🤣

Oh what a question! Someone who is plump is a bit overweight. I don't think the word is used that often now. Fat is a commonly used word, and can cover anything from being overweight to being obese. But please don't directly call someone either plump or fat! They won't like it!!
