This is an interesting topic to talk about. In my country, most couples like the traditional wedding customs. Though different places have different wedding customs, they have something in common. When two people in couple realize how much they love each other and are ready to get married, they have to get the permission from their respective parents first. Then the groom (he is not married yet) should go to the bride's (she is not married yet) home to have get engaged on planned day while bringing gifts and even a certain amount of money and the bride's parents will return some gifts or money. During the engagement ceremony, parents from both sides decide on the wedding date. After that, the rest is easy: decorating their new room, inviting friends and relatives, planning a honeymoon etc... Compared to the ancient times, or even a few decades ago, the current wedding customs tend to be simple but interesting. Everyone just wants the couples to live happily forever. Only one thing has never changed in thousands of years: almost every wedding features bright red colours which represents happiness. Everything in the room during the big day of the wedding ceremony is red!
