Of course it's usually just a metaphor, meaning an easy task. But it can potentially be a literal walk in the park. A: Where are you going? B: For a walk in the park. Back soon! A: Okay. Take care. Don't climb any steep hills - you might hurt your back. B: Don't worry. It's flat ground. It'll be a walk in the park. Literally AND figuratively!
